Don't let the name fool you. An adrenaline rush on an outing with us is usually caused by an event such as, "Fish on!", "What a view", or the thrill of the "Stalk". It is Relaxation, however that people come to us for most and Relaxation is what you will get. I have been guiding clients in the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness since 1980. Since that time, we have been perfecting the art of providing interactive wilderness vacations, that allow you "the guest" to determine what levels of excitement, involvement, physical activity, and of course relaxation you wish to achieve on your adventure with us.

The Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness is 2.4 million acres in Central Idaho. It abounds in beauty, rugged terrain, wildlife, and recreational opportunities. You will be happy with your choice to join us for most any experience the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness has to offer. We are licensed, bonded, and permitted to guide you in any and all of the following: 3-6 day Float Trips on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River, Big Game Hunting for Elk, Mule Deer, Black bear, Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep, Mountain Lion, Bobcat, Goat, and Moose, Fly or Spin Fishing the Middle Fork and Big Creek. The best fishing the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness has to offer is on Big Creek, the largest tributary to the Middle Fork. We also run a full service horse and mule operation from our wilderness base camp on Big Creek.

We offer two different trips of which fishing can be your primary activity or simply one of the many other enjoyable activities on your excursion. You may fish on one of our Middle Fork float trips (Rafting) or on a Pack/Fishing Trip on Big Creek, the largest tributary of the Middle Fork.

Pack / Fishing Trips

The heart of the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness is where your adventure begins. Our base camp is located near Big Creek, the largest tributary of the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. These trips are a terrific way for you to get away from the daily grind of your hectic life. If you enjoy short, long, or overnight horseback trips, excellent fishing, wildlife, spectacular scenery, total relaxation or combination there of this is the vacation for you. We also run 6-day Rafting Trips down the Middle Fork.

There are only a few differences between fishing on Big Creek versus fishing on the Middle Fork. First, we do not use boats of any kind on Big Creek. Fishing is all walk and wade. Hip boots and waders are not necessary, but non-slip wading shoes are recommended. All of the transportation is a combination of walking and riding horses and mules.

We wear our normal fishing attire while riding and we stow our rods and reels in the cases designed to accept the rod with the reel still attached. The other main difference is when on a float trip, you are continually moving downstream, never really fishing the same area twice. On Big Creek, we have over 15 miles of wilderness stream to fish. The fishing schedule is very flexible and you will have most of the say in when and what stretch you will fish each day.
